User types

User types allow you to categorize users based on their roles or work environments, enabling you to assign specific PPE requirements tailored to each type. This ensures that the appropriate protective equipment is checked for every user according to their unique responsibilities.

Default user type

The FORXAI Mirror includes a Default user type, which is assigned to all users without a custom user type. These users use the PPE configuration of the Default user type.

The Default user type cannot be renamed or deleted.

Add custom user types

For instructions on adding custom user types, refer to the Upload Users article.

Define PPEs for user types

When you create a new user type, the PPE settings match the Default user types.

To configure the specific PPE settings for individual user types, follow these steps:

1. Go to the PPE Detections tab in the Mirror administrator settings.

2. Select the user type you want to configure.

3. Click the checkboxes to select the relevant PPE types for that role.

4. Click the Save Changes button to complete the configuration.

Rename user type

To rename a user type, follow these steps:

1. Click on the name of the user type above the PPE types.

2. Type in the new name.

3. (Optional) Press Esc while editing to cancel.

4. Save the new name by pressing Enter or by clicking outside the editing field.

Delete user type

To delete a user type, click the Delete button on the bottom of the PPE detections list.

User types can only be deleted if they don’t have any associated users in the uploaded CSV.
